1970년대를 장악한 
 비 지스, 잭슨 5와 함께  가족 그룹하나이다.
리처드 카펜터, 캐런 카펜터

남매로 구성된 미국의 팝 그룹.
1969년에 Ticket to Ride로 데뷔
오빠인 리처드가 
피아노, 백업 보컬, 작곡, 편곡을
여동생 캐런이 

보컬과 드럼을 담당.

이후 캐런은 솔로로 정규 앨범을 

내려고 했지만 생전에는 발매가 거절당했고,

결국 사후에야 발매됨.
